Scooby Tart is the collaboration between Richard Clarahan and Daniel Hill. The two met in art school at Kent State University in Ohio and both went on to receive MFAs from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. As both were also making abstract paintings, playing guitar/bass and shared an appreciation for humor in dealing with the absurdities of life, Scooby Tart was born. Releasing a series of albums between 1996 to 2007 on the Synesthesia Records label, Scooby Tart is a surreal celebration of the power of musical humor to augment our lives with levity and wonder. Guitar based experimental songs. What does it sound like? Not sure what, maybe Frank Zappa.
